Her Story

Tatjana’s journey in urban planning has been driven by a commitment to developing effective planning frameworks that balance sustainability, heritage conservation, and infrastructure efficiency. Over the years, she has played a key role in shaping NSW’s planning policies, contributing to legislative planning instruments, development control plans, and strategic initiatives that guide sustainable urban growth.

She specialises in translating complex planning policies into practical solutions, ensuring they serve both the needs of the community and government objectives. Her work has been instrumental in crafting NSW Government planning policies and statutory instruments, including the SI LEP model clauses. Additionally, her research in urbanism and heritage protection has been recognised at international conferences, where she has explored how Circular Economy principles can contribute to regenerative precincts and social value enhancement.

Beyond her professional practice, Tatjana is a certified NatHERS energy assessor (BASIX) and an active member of the Housing Energy Raters Association (HERA). She is also involved in heritage advocacy through the Walter Burley Griffin Society. Her work extends beyond policy and planning; she has engaged extensively with communities, ensuring that urban development aligns with the needs and aspirations of the people it serves.
